State social benefits

Types of benefits

State social benefits add to the social insurance system and provide material support for a certain groups of inhabitants. These benefits are intended for social risk situations and cases when income decreases:

  • for those persons who have not been socially insured or whose contributions are not sufficient for receiving social insurance benefits and pension;
  • in cases of such additional expenses when social insurance system does not provide the protection (for instance, family state benefit, child care benefit and child birth benefit, state social security benefit which provides the protection in case of age, disability or loss of supporter for those persons which are not socially insured, etc.).
