- Objectives of the European Year (2012)
There are 4 objectives set forth in order to implement the European Year for Active Ageing and Solidarity between Generations (2012):
1. to explain the importance of active ageing and solidarity between generations;
2. to promote the current policies and events which have been successfully implemented in order to advance active ageing and solidarity between generations;
3. to reach an agreement about active position in solving the issues regarding active ageing and solidarity between generations;
4. to tackle the problems related to the old-age discrimination and stereotypes.
